RFE: Lavrov Says Western ‘Russophobia’ Worse Than During Cold War

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says the level of what he described as "Russophobia" in Western countries is higher than it was at the peak of the Cold War.

"This Russophobia is unprecedented. We never saw this during the Cold War," Lavrov told Russian daily Kommersant in an interview published on January 21.

"Back then, there were some rules, some decorum...Now, all decorum has been cast aside," he said.

He also warned that Russia had its "red lines" that other countries should not cross.

I think I have a simple and rather logical explanation for all of this "russophobia."

Never before have the state of the countrys with this much "russophobia" been worse. Political unrest, mass-immigration, high crime, high taxes etc etc. Scandal after scandal. The only thing politicians can do is try to divert attention from all of this failure, that themselves have created, is to create a straw-man. Rather than man up and face the music, they cling onto their jobs for dear life. Creating fear, panic, phobias and hatred to anyone who does not think like them.

So you guys didn't see the Russian nuclear bombers fly close to UK air space last week?

And you don't mind that Ukraine, a European country is besieged by Russian invasion right now?

And you don't mind that Russia is teaming up with Iran to back Assad?

And you're OK with Russia helping North Korea to get around sanctions?

And it's fine that Russia is weaponising social media to influence elections and send opposing demonstrators to the same location after instigating them?

And you don't want Europe or individual countries to arm itself a bit more to be capable of defending it's rights and interests? Did you even look at the graphic and see how outmatched England is?

Then hats to you, comrades! Let's drink vodka together and sing good mother Russia song

The evidence to date is compelling that the Obama Administration created a boogie man in Russia as a way to force Trump from office via the tainted, if not fraudulent, Mueller investigation. Russia being used to launch a coup in the US by the former Obama Administration.

The Russians have a point.

What? Literally what??
This, right here, is the mindset of fear mongering people.
Do you honestly believe that Russia is going to invade the UK?
There is no one holding these individual European countrys back from boosting their defenses, but themselves! They want to use their money on other things and then blame Trump and Russia for everything that is bad in the world.
