Taiwan News: Chinese diplomat in U.S. threatens Taiwan with military attack

If U.S. Navy vessel docks in Kaohsiung, China will attack: PRC embassy minister.

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – The day a United States Navy ship docks in Kaohsiung is the day China will launch a military attack against Taiwan, a Chinese diplomat in the U.S. reportedly said Friday.

Chinese embassy Minister Li Kexin (李克新) was referring to the recent passage by the U.S. Congress of a measure which will allow visits by Navy vessels and military officials from the U.S. and Taiwan to each other’s territory.

He was speaking at an embassy event where more than 200 Chinese students in the U.S. but also Taiwanese residents and media had been invited, the Chinese-language Liberty Times reported.

Taiwan should have a close look at what's happening in Hong Kong since China took over from the UK, how promises of restraint or a two China system were broken, and how opinion, thoughts are suppressed there - if necessary with torture. It's your future, guys..enjoy! Overlord China will tell you what you're allowed to think and say

Do you realise that the top Chinese diplomat basically, under the threat of war, told the US navy what they are allowed to do? Last time I checked the US was welcome in Taiwan. If Taiwan doesn't want the US to visit, that's one thing, but China treats Taiwan as its own and has been force feeding their wants and demands down the Taiwanese throats for decades. This is so reflective of the awakening of China. People think China has changed. .but they confuse wealth and technological change with moral change. China is still a massive violator of human rights, still destroys the environment on grand scale (sure the PR machine they have is running red hot tries to tell you otherwise..just ask the imprisoned environment bloggers what they think), massively bullies and subdues their APAC neighbours - in the case of Vietnam also threatening with war (over an oil platform)..oh and china previously threatened the US with war if the US were to invade north Korea (an essential step to safely and reliably destroy mobile rockets on mobile rocket launch systems, which, you guessed it the Chinese have sold to north Korea - together with the special rocket fuel propellant). Meanwhile the Chinese population is fiercly nationalistic and kept in the dark thanks to state propaganda and Internet cut down. Not just Facebook and Google are blocked - which is old news - but also more and more VPNs and proxies are blocked - making it harder and harder to get outside information. I've never seen a country getting so ready for war, while reporters and observers think everything is business as normal. Obviously this will not end well. Talk to Chinese youth and they tell you they despise Americans and see them meddling in their business and their country. But they claim entire south China Sea as theirs and if you want to tell them it's a bit more complicated they point to their advances in military and economy...no thank you for the trillions of money we sent them. No thank you for the trillions they stole in ripping off or products. Not even recognising this happened and still happens. Incredible.
