NBC Report: President Trump Wanted A Tenfold Increase In U.S. Nuclear Arsenal

NBC: Trump Wanted Tenfold Increase in Nuclear Arsenal, Surprising Military

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump said he wanted what amounted to a nearly tenfold increase in the U.S. nuclear arsenal during a gathering this past summer of the nation’s highest-ranking national security leaders, according to three officials who were in the room.

Trump’s comments, the officials said, came in response to a briefing slide he was shown that charted the steady reduction of U.S. nuclear weapons since the late 1960s. Trump indicated he wanted a bigger stockpile, not the bottom position on that downward-sloping curve.

According to the officials present, Trump’s advisers, among them the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, were surprised. Officials briefly explained the legal and practical impediments to a nuclear buildup and how the current military posture is stronger than it was at the height of the buildup. In interviews, they told NBC News that no such expansion is planned.

He's an ignorant fool, so it is possible, but not probable.

He's not that stupid to ask for tens of thousands of nuclear bombs if he knows only two were ever used in war. And he knows at least that.

So why would anyone want to believe that he indeed said that? To portray him as a madman. (In hopes the north Koreans and perhaps Iranians too believe it)

According to NBC, as part of a presentation of US Military Power, somebody showed a chart of US Nuclear Weapons Inventory and Deployed Nuclear Weapons, over time.

"Officials present said that Trump’s comments on a significantly increased arsenal came in response to a briefing slide that outlined America’s nuclear stockpile over the past 70 years. The president referenced the highest number on the chart — about 32,000 in the late 1960s — and told his team he wanted the U.S. to have that many now, officials said."

Trump doesn't do words, but he does do pictures, and the graph showing the US Nuclear Arsenal is 1/10th the size it was at it's peak, set him off, and prompted Tillerson to call him a moron.

And of course, his Uncle John taught him everything he needed to know about nukes:

"Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are — nuclear is powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us.”

a general rule of thumb: if Trump claims a news release is fake news, then you know it is a true news item. It is a test that never fails

Apart from the rough sex with hookers in Moscow, l think that failed, or the story about..., and then there's the story about .....

Nope, pee tape, not rough sex with hookers.

Trump rented the same suite Obama stayed in in Moscow then hired Russian hookers to pee on the bed Obama had slept in, while he taped it.

This was back in 2013, when Trump was still looking for Obama's Kenyan Muslim birth certificate.
