A provision in a Senate spending bill that is likely to become law would bar the Defense Department from doing business with Kaspersky Lab, the Russian cyber-security company whose employees were interviewed at their homes this week by FBI agents.
The Congressional action comes amid mounting concerns about the Moscow-based company, which sells anti-virus software across the world to consumers, businesses and government agencies, including some elements of the U.S. government.
In recent months, U.S. intelligence officials have expressed concerns that the company is a security risk, without specifying the basis of those concerns.

Sorry but if the pentagon puts Kaspersky products into its hardware, they deserve whatever comes with it.
It's the Pentagon's obligation to choose whatever they think protects the American people and its institutions best. If Russia threatens retaliation over this it is a bit atypical. Usually the Kremlin would not act like this unless there's someone pushing hot buttons somewhere.
This is a losing issue for Russia.
Just like the government should not tell us to buy a product like health insurance. the Kremlin should not tell the U.S., who to buy software from.
Maybe we ought to tell the Russian that they must buy fighter jets from the Israelis.
How would that go over.
I doubt the Dems would side with the Russians on this one, but if they do, they deserve the election loss or the harder fight in terms of money to stay in office.
Some Dims might if Trump tweets against Kapersky.
