Dont underestimate them, a quick google will show just how clever, tough and resourceful they are.
They will cause more chaos and confusion than any Nork aircraft.

Probably Kim Jong-un's praetorian guard. Well armed, well trained and no question about their loyalty, but not so many of them.

But there is some question about the training and loyalty of other "regular" ranks. Like the missile battery crews along the border with RoK.

I agree, people need to remember how they almost pulled off infiltrating the blue house not that long ago.
Their rank and file though tenacious are likley no better trained than those of saddam in 91.

The North Korean Special Forces are tough alright.

One day one of them will be in charge of the South Korean military after the south takes over the north.

More like a rescue mission when the south moves north.

You're right but l doubt the u.s plans a land invasion to subdue this populace.
In the case of this conflict it plays to what the u.s military does best, decimate armour, artillery, c &c , SAM sites whilst enjoying air superiority.

By the way does anyone know if A10S are based in or being moved to S.K?
That may be a telling move as they will be in the thick of it from the word go, if thise nk artillery units open up.

I cant see any circumstances where they (or u.s) will move nth, but they will hold control of the dmz.

If they are like communists I know, they will admit to having been brainwashed.

Meaning that now or later they will turn on Dear Leader, but remain fiercely loyal to their homeland.

Cannot blame them for that.

@Anon You're right. The weapons look like PP-19 Bizon submachineguns, which is a strange choice
