In the absence of it being a positional war, ( strategic or political), it must then be an attritional war, where progress and " winning" are measured in body counts.

If 6000 IS fighters have been killed, can someone tell me how many civilians have also been killed??

My understanding is that nobody is able to achieve less than 1:1 ratio, most conflicts being much higher with Israel being the closest to 1:1 according to Colonel Richard Kemp.

Maybe at the start of the bombing campaign they achieved a ratio less but IS quickly changed tactics and stopped moving in the open in large numbers and is now better dispersed/entrenched through the local populations.

So let me get my maths right, we are talking about over 6000 innocent civilians dead now and not a single bo peep from anyone, anywhere in the world?

No UN denunciations, no resolutions, no protest marches, no front page stories, nothing...

I thought that the world really does care about collateral damage in wartime or am I wrong??

I'm sure there are civilian casualties but if there was a large amount ISIS would be showing the world as propaganda.

There were 50 killed in an airstrike on a grainerynin ISIS held areas, but only the Syrian Observatory noted the deaths,

ISIS really doesn't need to highlight civillian deaths in it's areas, the locals all know anyway.
